Even with a 150 Grandmaster for prospecting, it is frequently more time or cost efficient to "rip" raw or refined ores (dismantle them from NPC vendor available components) than to mine them myself or buy them from another miner. I have also noted that since nerfing the L1-L3 station ore vendors some patches back, the "devs" have been making increasing use of low level ores in mission related refines and component builds. Manually searching component maps and my notes for a desired rip is time consuming, so I've implemented a more efficient, database driven solution for the use of other players as well as my own. The Ripatron Prime Mk. IX facilitates searching NPC vendor available L1-L9 components for refined and raw ores. Note that the Ripatron Prime Mk. IX ore select list is not inclusive of all ores, as not all ores can be ripped from NPC vendor available components. However, a considerable number of L1-L9 refined and raw ores can be obtained with variable degrees of time and cost efficiency by ripping, as opposed to mining them or spamming the market channel for hours on end trying to buy them...
