Rifle Projectile Launchers are the weapon of choice for ambitious, up and coming Progens! Rifles feature high damage combined with great combat buffs. 200% L5 Rifles are now on special sale by Toysrus for 50K each for a limited time only. There is a limit of 5 Rifles per player at this special price. When player made by Toysrus to 200% quality, L5 Rifles feature 1.4 second reloads (verses 2.2 seconds at 100% quality), inflicting 18.57 units damage per second when firing standard, over the counter rifle ammo and 23.5 units damage per second when firing player made, superior rifle ammo. L5 Rifles have a range of 3.4K and 19 units energy consumption per round fired. Rifles also feature three complimentary equipped buffs for combat. For L5 Rifles at 200% quality the equipped equipment damage reduction buff provides a 61% reduction to incoming damage to weapons, the equipped projectile weapons skill buff improves projectile accuracy by 2.1 skill levels, and the equipped critical targeting buff provides a +10.66% increase in the chances of a critical hit.
Rifle ammo is available with both plasma and chemical payloads. Standard, over the counter Rifle ammo can be purchased at Orsini Mining Platform in Carpenter, Net 7 in Saturn, and Chernevog in Aragoth Prime. Standard Rifle ammo inflicts 26 units damage per round. Superior, player made Rifle ammo inflicts 33 units damage per round, an approximately 27% increase in damage over standard ammo. With 200% quality L5 Rifles, the ammo consumption works out to one stack per 14 minutes firing time per Rifle. Most builders have difficulty stocking all the ores and comps required to make extensive selections of ammos, so your chances of finding a willing maker of superior ammo are greatly improved by providing them with the components needed to make ammo for you. Rifle ammo is player made using over the counter comps, each stack of 600 Rifle rounds requiring one each:
